Summary/Abstract: This study wants to bring a little aprofundation in the agapic and philantropic love, one in four greek words for love. In the first part, it is written some informations from Holy Bible, firstly from The Old Testament about agapic love, especially in the books of Deuteronomy and Song of Songs; and secoundly, a much larger content of agapic and philantropic love in the true domain of love which is The New Testament, where Our Savior Jesus Christ brings the Law of Love above de Law of Justice, and also, He brings the power of love above all because God is Love and the biggest proof of agape was is His sacrifice for all of us.In the second part, you will find that kind of love applied to the other human brothers after the supreme Model – Jesus Christ, with information from some Holy Fathers of the Saint Orthodox Church. It is a small study, but it will bring some valuable general informations and notions about this kind of love – agapic and philantropic one – which I find very useful for general theologic knowledge.
