Summary/Abstract: The article presents the unique relations between some Romanian medical personalities and the French and German leading scientists Louis Pasteur and Robert Koch. It also highlights the role of Romanian diplomacy in facilitating these contacts and providing information about the outbreaks of infectious diseases in foreign countries.
