Summary/Abstract: The Greek Catholic priests around the Vatican ensured the continuity of the Greek Catholic spirit in exile, just like the representatives of the historical parties did, by keeping the lines of contact with the home country. They represented the religious resistance par excellence and helped to shape the political resistance, providing much better than other groups of exiles a sense of unity while keeping alive, with firmness and perseverance, the plea for the cause of the Uniate Church, in a Free Vatican-centered Europe.
