Summary/Abstract: : Starting from the definitions of art and literary reading, but also from the theorie of literary reading belonging to Wolfgang Iser and from the theories of arts belonging to Erwin Panofsky, G. E. Lessing şi Helmut Hatzfeld, this thesis will bring arguments to support the idea that the interferences between literature and other arts can be the key to motivating the students to read because in nowdays’ context of lack of interest in books and culture, it is highley necessary to adapt the educational offer and the methods of teaching reading to the abilities and needs that young readers have. Emphasising the connections between the image and the literary text can generate students’ interest in reading and this is why this thesis will analyse and exemplify the variety of ways which can enable reading comprehension throughout the highschool years. Consequently, starting from the relantionship between literature and other arts, this thesis will present a few literary texts and examples of exercices with the help of which the link between text and image and to other arts can be remade.
