Summary/Abstract: The paper outlines the elusive boundary between diary and fiction. The gain of the diary and autobiography, unlike fiction, is that it facilitates the discovery of the man behind the writer, an interesting aspect for the readers, especially if the author is a leading figure, but we did not brief only to this issue, since we are interested to unveil The Self in order to understand the mechanisms of creation. Thus we recorded lamentations, frustrations, complexes, satisfaction, contentment or doubt, all in relation to the process of artistic creation. Our intention has not been to reveal a fragile or arrogant nature, but to expose a human character, the result of an accumulation of states, feelings, dispositions of the most complex and different. Thus, the human being appears as a rhizomatic structure composed of faces of the body, the spirit, the mind, and only one cannot define the man. The two sections of this paper highlighte the work captured during waking and the oneiric activity, both relevant for identifying traits of human nature.
