Summary/Abstract: The text focuses on the challenge in front of the academic educational process to fully adapt to the transition to online environment during the pandemic and lockdown due to COVID-19 in 2020. The multitude of newly emerged technical, structural, and behavioral/psychological issues that educational institutions had not faced until that moment raised questions for all participants in the process. The motivation to be a part of the educational process, the potential for increasing of the anxiety, the status of the presence of the body and unmediated eye contact in the object gaze are some of the topical issues of this period that still resonate today. The research of these psychological phenomena in the context of online education is the subject of the present text.
