Summary/Abstract: This article aims to explore thecombination of watercolor and digital animation,analyzing how this interdisciplinary fusion expands theexpressive boundaries of traditional art and enhancesthe artistic charm of digital animation. Firstly, itanalyzes the current development status of watercolorand digital animation, pointing out their characteristicsthroughout history. Subsequently, it discusses in detailthe application of watercolor techniques in digitalanimation, including the use of color, stroke simulation,and digital reproduction techniques for watercoloreffects. In addition, a thorough analysis is conductedon the advantages and challenges of their combination,listing key elements and providing accurateassessments. Finally, it predicts future trends in thecombination of watercolor art and digital animation,suggesting potential innovative directions. This studynot only provides new creative perspectives for artistsand animators but also offers theoretical support forthe academic understanding of the possibilities andchallenges of media integration in the digital age.
