Summary/Abstract: During agricultural work on a land plot near the Poltava Highway, students of Chisinau Vocational School No. 2 V.M. Khilev and V.N. Medvedev discovered a hoard of coins. This hoard was transferred to the State Museum of Local Lore, where it was registered on December 20, 1971 (Acceptance Certificate No. 3120; Accession No. 13002). Later, the hoard was transferred to the National Museum of History of Moldova (Act No. 510 of December 21, 1987; Accession No. FB-13587-13671; Nos. 14155-14239). The hoard consists of 85 coins (84 silver and 1 copper ones) issued during the reigns of Alexander II (1855-1881), Alexander III (1881-1894) and Nicholas II (1894-1917). Coins are represented by the following denominations: - ½ kopeck (1 specimen): 1912; - 5 kopecks (6 specimens): 1892, 1897, 1899, 1902, 1905, 1914; - 10 kopecks (28 specimens): 1861, 1870, 1899, 1900 (3), 1901, 1903, 1904, 1905, 1906 (3), 1907 (2), 1908 (2), 1909 (2),1910 (3), 1912, 1913, 1914, 1915 (3); - 15 kopecks (26 specimens): 1870, 1878, 1890, 1898, 1899, 1900, 1902, 1903 (3), 1904 (2), 1906 (2), 1907, 1908 (2), 1909, 1911, 1912 (2), 1913, 1914 (2), 1915 (2); - 20 kopecks (24 specimens): 1873, 1879, 1901, 1903, 1904, 1905, 1908, 1909 (2), 1910, 1911, 1912, 1913 (2), 1914 (3), 1915 (7).
