Summary/Abstract: The review article provides a critical analysis of Bogusław Śliwerski’s monograph, "School revolutions". In this work, Śliwerski offers a radical critique of the current state of education and the school system, advocating for significant reforms to enhance the flexibility and openness of educational institutions. The review adopts a sociological perspective to examine the entire monograph, incorporating relevant pedagogical and sociological research. Special emphasis is placed on the examination of school space and architecture. The primary objective of this reflection is twofold: first, to highlight and endorse Śliwerski’s book as a valuable analytical resource for understanding the contemporary condition of schools and education; and second, to explore the book’s insights from a sociological standpoint. The review goes beyond mere summary and commentary, presenting an independent reflective analysis based on the content of the monograph.
