Summary/Abstract: The article considers the scene engraved on a single-faced copper plate made in Transylvania in 1611, which is kept in the collection of the National Museum in Warsaw; the plot of the religious scene and its source are specified. The author proposes an original method of using the superimposing of the image on the plate on other similar iconographic sources. The image relates to the subject of “Education of Mary” and was made no earlier than the 19th century.
