Summary/Abstract: The article presents Tadeusz Mischke’s eugenic projects. Due to the writer’s limited presence in broader humanistic and philological reflection, it was necessary to present his biography. Particular emphasis was placed on the author’s views on the issues of modernization of Zakopane and women’s emancipation, which appear in his journalistic works and brochures. Focusing on these problems made it possible to present Mischke not only as a modern creator, but also as a utopian engineer. In the context of postsecular thought, attention was paid to the mechanism of sacralization of eugenics by the creator. The article was supported by findings from the field of sociology, philosophy, as well as cultural and historical research on Zakopane, the development of the eugenics movement in Poland and biopolitics.
