Summary/Abstract: Psalm 110 is part of the category of dogmatic or worship psalms. It is a sapiential psalm, alphabetic in Hebrew, a meditation on the wonderful deeds of God. In general, these psalms are true hymns dedicated to God, highlighting His attributes. For example, we have Psalm 144 where the divine eternity is celebrated ('Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures through all generations'). The same theme is treated in Psalm 89/90, where we read: 'For a thousand years in Your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.' In Psalm 17, the divine majesty is highlighted: 'The clouds fled at the brightness of His presence, His voice through hailstones and coals of fire...'. The same theme is also treated in Psalms: 28, 45, 46, 47, 49, 65, 67, 76, 92, 93, 95, 96, 110, 113, etc.
