Summary/Abstract: The Fathers of the Church have shown and demonstrated through their writings that the text of the Holy Scripture can be interpreted in two ways: spiritual and literal. Some of the Fathers of the Church wanted to realize a spiritual aspect of the Holy Scripture, while other Church Fathers wanted to explain in more detailed the literal sense of the holy writings. Saint Basil the Great equally related both senses of the word of God from the Holy Scripture.
