Summary/Abstract: Francis Jones, translator from Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian into English (he translated authors such as Vasko Popa, Mak Dizdar, Skender Kulenović…), examines the way the introducing of the borderline into a once united yet polycentric cultural field, as the Yugoslav one used to be, and dividing of the Serbo-Croat language into Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian effected his own translation work from these languages in the radically changed and new cultural and political environment.
