Summary/Abstract: Creativity is a construct shaped by society, its history and values. There is a global consensus on the importance of creativity for society, the economy and the individual. Yet, cultural context plays a significant role in describing the characteristics of creativity. This paper introduces the findings of a study focused on congruencies and differences in creative self-concept among art students on the US-Czech Republic-Taiwan axis. The study contributes to the understanding of the different facets of creativity and their importance in shaping an individual's creative self-concept. It particularly inspires didactic disciplines in promoting creativity not only in expressive fields.
