“JAKOV XOXA -WRITER AND RESEARCHER” INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON THE CENTENARY OF THE WRITER’S BIRTHDAY

Summary/Abstract: On the occasion ofthe Centenary of writer Jakov Xoxa’s birthday, the Academy of Sciences of Albania hosted on 7 june 2023 an International Scientific Conference “Jakov Xoxa - writer and researcher”. To pay tribute to the prominent personality of Albanian letters, this conference was organized thanks to an extensive interinstitutional cooperation among academies, universities, scientific institutions, governmental and diplomatic bodies. It was also attended by renown writers of Albanian literature, who through their research papers expressed their scientific appraisal of Jakov Xoxa’s literary creativeness. The Conference was honoured by the presence of the Mayor of Tirana, Erjon Veliaj, who considered the late Jakov Xoxa, as one of the most important founding personalities of modern Albanian literature.
