Summary/Abstract: The present work contains the concept of the notion “specialized knowledge” which was formulated after a thorough analysis of various opinions from the specialized literature. The author reveals the main forms in which the specialized knowledge is used in the penal process putting forward a new form of its application at the situational expertise of the crime scene. He also brings arguments in favor of the suggestions of lege-ferenda.
