Summary/Abstract: In 1568, the reformed and reorganized Toruń Gymnasium formally began its activity. This event was celebrated with a commemorative poem by Conrector Łukasz Schubbe. His Carmen de nova constitutione Gymnasii Thoruniensis remains a precious source for learning about the history of the Toruń school in the second half of the 16th century. The work contains introductory remarks, a transliteration of Schubbe's poem unified in spelling and punctuation, a translation into Polish, and a commentary.
