Summary/Abstract: In a strictly psychoanalytic approach, the article interprets Maria Janion’s book Projektkrytyki fantazmatycznej (1991), which literally means “phantasmatic critique project.” Thepoint of reference is the category of phantasm, which the article derives from the theoryof Jacques Lacan – not from Freud’s concept of “phantasm,” as Janion does. This distortionof the initial context allows a rethink of the phantasm’s functioning and a change inthe adopted thought strategy because it leads to the unlocking of inhibitions in theimagination of the subject. In the search for patterns of subjective attitudes adoptedas part of the anthropological worldview, the article relies on the representations thatbind (articulate) the real and the symbolic, according to the assumptions of Lacanianpsychoanalysis. The author of the article argues that Janion’s book agrees with thisapproach.
