Summary/Abstract: In the article, the authors reviewed and analysed the positions towards globalisation repre-sented by Christian circles on the basis of the content of various publications. They noticedan interesting process consisting in the infiltration of knowledge from the area of broadly un-derstood social sciences into Christian circles and the accompanying combination of descrip-tive or quasi ‑theoretical threads with normative judgements. On the other hand, however, themultifaceted reflection on globalisation is accompanied in religious circles by a lack of in ‑depthconsideration of the social and moral aspects of globalisation processes. Christian reflectiontherefore gives the impression of both substantive breadth and superficiality and secondarydescription. Visions of globalisation in ecclesiastical circles obviously also have their own con-fessional specificity. Catholics displaying a multi ‑confessional diversity adopt both an open‑mindedattitude, recognising the opportunities and challenges of globalisation, as well as not-ing a number of risks, particularly relating to issues of faith and religious practice. Protestantsshow both a capacity to intellectually consider the processes in question and a fundamentalistattitude of rejection of modernity. Orthodoxy, on the other hand, exposes the processes of in-ternationalisation as historically embedded and having a long tradition in Christian theologicalreflection.
