Summary/Abstract: The article reflects the problem of psycho-pedagogical assistance in the development of communicative-verbal skills in preschool children with severe autism spectrum disorder. It elaborates the research problem, aim, objectives and hypotheses, evaluation techniques. The results of conversations with parents, observation data in free and organized activity are described. The analysis of the presented results on mental development tells us about the very different development from one child to another, in terms of general, fine, mimic, articulatory motor functioning, cognitive processes and socio-emotional development. The results on language and communication development in the children examined show us uneven results. The highest were obtained in the auditory rhythm and the lowest in the motor part of language. A formative program was developed in three stages with specific content and individualized approach for each child.
