Summary/Abstract: From the point of view of the semiological approach of “place”, the feeling of belonging of individuals to their own life context, contributes significantly to finalizing the relationship between identity, place and affiliation, as important factors of the identity anchor. Thus, in the context of research, the reference "place" implies not only the object of study, as a meaning of a certain environment, but also "place", as a tool to mediate the relationship between it and current populations, with special emphasis on the mechanisms through which the feeling of belonging is perpetuated, as well as the dimensions of the “place” in its construction.
