Summary/Abstract: Ismail Kadare is one of the greatest contemporary writers. In this paper, we have found the borrowings that the author Ismail Kadare uses in some of his poems that we have taken for study. The phenomenon of borrowing is well accepted by everyone and is often seen as a necessity in communication, but only to the extent that it is used logically. and for the benefit of communication and the enrichment of the language, without abusing this freedom that each speaker has and damaging the language by introducing foreign words here and there. The borrowings we found are: asfalt, xhami, sahat, vërtit, stol, barakë, kadife, pazar, hamall, kolltuk, xham, josh, abazhur, qilim, dremit, vatan, kob, batak, oxhak.
