Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to highlight the scientifi c and practical experience of cooperation among the Department of Armed Forces Medical Support of the UMMA and the Department of disaster medicine and military medicine of the BSMU, which has been going on for the third decade. Attention is focused on the complex process of forming fundamentally new educational and methodological structures and their introduction into a well-functioning system of functioning of two medical universities. In particular, the activity of the scientifi c- pedagogical workers to restore the work of the department of disaster medicine and military medicine of the BSMU together with the specialists of the UMMA after its unjustifi ed and erroneous disbandment was analyzed. The content of cooperation between these two scientifi c and educational- methodical subdivisions at the present stage of their activity is revealed and it is clearly outlined. perspectives. The main purpose of the study is to prove the rationality, eff ectiveness and viability of this cooperation, which can serve as an example of successful integration of civilian and military medical education of two historical and powerful scientifi c and educational regions of Ukraine – Dnieper and Northern Bukovina. Research methods: is based on the use of the principles of historicism, objectivity and system- structural approach to the disclosure of the relationships between the stages of formation of the system of military medical education in independent Ukraine. Historical and logical analysis of the integration of civilian and military medical education, in particular the cooperation of the two leading departments of UMMA and BSMU in the direction of optimization of educational programs and teaching methods, carried out using the historical- system method. Conclusions. 1. The cooperation between UMMA and BSMU, which has been going on for the third decade, is a successful example of the integration of civilian and military medical education. Its relevance and expediency are due to the gradual transformation of the medical support system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into technologies and medical- technological documents that are functionally compatible with NATO medical support standards. 2. The adaptation of military medical terminology and new requirements for the development of command and staff documents, in particular the transition to new operational graphic symbols and symbols in accordance with NATO standards, is one of the urgent and diffi cult issues of compatibility with NATO standards. Its solution is a priority in the development and improvement of educational programs and teaching methods in military and military medical disciplines for single- profi le departments of all higher medical institutions. 3. The joint participation of scientifi c and pedagogical staff of UMMA and BSMU in the development and publication of scientifi c and educational materials on topical issues of military medicine provides an objective and professional understanding and contributes to the optimization and improvement of the educational process.
