Summary/Abstract: Composer Ciprian Gabriel Pop is an adept of using the computer in the compositional process. Over time, he created a series of pieces that used the electronic environment in order to produce or process musical sound, such as Cyberwar Tales, Landscapes, Improvisation d’automne, Elletrofrollo, Oniria, Voxis and Klarinetix. The present study wants to highlight the means by which the composer uses the electronic medium to give life to the work Meta(l)Reflexion – for horn and electronic medium, but also the relationship between the acoustic instrument and the electronic medium in the overall construction of the piece. Composed and premiered in 2015, during the Cluj Modern Festival, the work has a quasi-defined component – the horn part and a quasi-free component – the electronic part.
