Status and Problems in the Development of Industrial Enterprises in Bulgaria - Perspectives, Innovations, Sustainability, Environment

Summary/Abstract: Illuminating the state and problems of industrial enterprises in Bulgaria in recent years is important in connection with the aspiration of our society to take the path to sustainable development and prosperity. A set of indicators can be singled out by which the state of affairs in our country can be judged. In this regard, the data provided by NSI are valuable. The analysis of this kind of data implicitly points to the understanding of the economic agents in our country regarding their social and environmental commitments. It indicates the degree to which the corporate interest is combined with a wider range of responsibilities. The translated and analyzed data in the present work generally point to an unfavourable momentary situation concerning the period before the pandemic. They are an occasion for serious reflection and taking various measures.
