Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present outsourcing as one of the HR function management directions in an organization. It explains how outsourcing is used to increase company’s competitiveness by delegating outside company activities and processes not directly related to the core business of the organization. The article contains information about companies motivation when choosing outsourcing service for HR processes or HR function in total. The author discusses results from the report conducted across companies in Poland, which considered questions related to the general knowledge of the BPO, selection criteria of outsourcing service providers and the most commonly outsourced HR areas. Is has been indicated what the most important factors in the decision and implementation process for the organization are. This article can help managers and companies owners realize the benefits related to costs, effectiveness, risk management and resources development that can be achieved by HR outsourcing implementation.
