„TELEVISION BULLETIN” (“BIULETYN TELEWIZYJNY”): A SOURCE FOR RESEARCH ON THE HISTORY OF TELEVISION IN POLISH PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC IN 1950S AND 1960S

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the opportunities offered by the “Television Bulletin” (“Biu-letyn Telewizyjny”) as a source of historical research on Polish Television in 1950s and1960s. It published domestic and foreign scientific content: statistical data, viewers’ opin-ions and articles on history of television, sociology and media studies. Thereby, the dis-cussed journal stood out among the popular science journals of the time covering similartopics, like “Radio and Television” (“Radio i Telewizja”) and “Antenna” (“Antena”), tar-geting a broader audience.
