Summary/Abstract: The preschool teacher aims to support each child’s development through different games and activities, taking into account the curriculum for early education. The curriculum focusses on development dimensions, grouped into five development areas, around which the teaching – learning - evaluation process must be focussed. The way a teacher at this level supports learning depends a lot on his or her professional beliefs. Collaborative learning, experiential learning and integrated learning are specific to the early education system in our country. In order to achieve valuable learning experiences, the preschool teacher organizes an educational environment, creates contexts that place children in connection with reality. Development dimensions contains learning results used in a flexible way. Behaviours detail these dimensions, providing indicators that can be seen as building blocks of future competences.
