Summary/Abstract: The concept of social support takes on special meaning when we are talking about difficult, task-oriented, or crisis situations, and illness or disability is certainly one of these. Its experience is often associated with situations that require permanent assistance. If a disability affects a child, support is required not only for the child, but for the entire family. Families raising children with disabilities need and expect help. In addition to the support provided by various types of institutions, they may receive it from immediate family members. The purpose of this article is to show specific support activities for a family with a child with a disability from the perspective of grandparents, who, being part of the family’s support network, provide help in many different ways.
