Summary/Abstract: Music is one of the branches of art that human beings first came into contact with since their existence. It has developed and diversified in parallel with the development process of human beings. Music shows similarities in terms of form and structure between geographical and ethnic identities. In fact, most of the time similar musical genres and structures have been seen in the same geographies. Turkish history, with its existence starting from Central Asia, has been influenced by many different geographies and has also left its impact on these geographies. This interaction took place in the art of music, as in all branches of art. Since the establishment of the Republic, various studies have been carried out for the modernization and archiving of the arts in the country and for a universal art education. Bela Bartok came to our country to do research and study on Turkish music history, which contains the heritage of centuries. In this article, Bela Bartok's arrival to our country and the contributions of this trip to Turkish music history are investigated. The general purpose of the research is to contribute to the literature with the data obtained as a result of examining the studies that emerged as a result of the famous composer Bela Bartok's coming to our country to conduct research on Turkish Folk Music. In the article, it is a qualitative study using observation and written materials analysis methods under the headings of Bela Bartok and his music, Bartok's passion for folk music, studies on Turkish folk music in Turkey and finally the interaction of Bartok and Turkish fives.
