Summary/Abstract: In March 2024, the esteemed Czech philosopher Milan Sobotka passed away at the age of 97. Known for his extensive teaching career at Charles University in Prague, Sobotka taught continuously from 1954 until 2015. He was celebrated not only for his academic contributions, particularly in German classical philosophy, but also for his profound humanity and kindness. Sobotka's work included significant translations and original studies, and he remained intellectually active until his final days. His approach to philosophy was deeply intertwined with his moral and ethical beliefs, emphasizing practical virtues over theoretical knowledge.
