Summary/Abstract: The Gulf Cooperation Council has played a nuanced role in the geopolitical landscape shaped by the Russian-Ukrainian war since its escalation in February 2022. This report analyses the GCC’s peace initiatives, examining the motivations, strategies, and implications of their actions in the context of international relations. Qatar aims to mediate in disputes between conflicting parties, in order to achieve peaceful resolutions, promote sustainable development, alleviate discrimination against women and religious minorities, bolster humanitarian assistance in regions of conflict and war.
