Summary/Abstract: In the process of historical and social development, daily communication routines occur based on the records in the social memory. The patterns used in these communication routines vary from society to society and also appear in different forms depending on people and circumstances. Among the Uyghur Turks, sendoffs are carried out with various words and behavioral patterns. There are many types of sendoffs. Sendoff is not limited to sending off just one living thing. Sometimes the deceased person, sometimes the soul entering another body, and sometimes a holy month are bid sendoff. Our study aims to reveal these words and behavioral patterns used by Uyghur Turks in sendoffs. Sendoff in Uyghur Turks is discussed under three main headings: words related to sendoff, sendoff words and sendoffs specific to situations. Sendoffs specific to situations have been examined under subheadings: guests sendoff, passengers sendoff, a daughter who is getting married sendoff, sendoffs related to death (the person who is about to die sendoff, the deceased sendoff), the soul entering another body sendoff, and other sendoffs. Types such as soldiers sendoff, pilgrims sendoff, the month of Ramadan sendoff, a person going hunting sendoff are given under the heading of other sendoffs.
