Summary/Abstract: The success of an institution often stems from aligning the leadership style of the director with the needs of all participants in the educational process. The director, as a leader, plays a crucial role in the success of a preschool institution. Their leadership style can significantly impact the institution's atmosphere, efficiency, motivation, and overall success. Adapting a specific leadership style to the institution's needs often results in success, improving efficiency, fostering better relationships within the institution, and enhancing the experience of all participants. This, in turn, leads to better outcomes in the educational process and the quality of the institution's work, creating a supportive environment for everyone involved. The director's ability to adapt their leadership style to contemporary needs, technological changes, and the dynamic demands of the educational system is a pathway to the institution's success. The aim of this work is to highlight the significance and influence of leadership styles in early childhood education. Being a director of a preschool institution is a highly complex and responsible task, inherently requiring various skills, knowledge, and abilities. Developed social skills influence the leadership style and the director's capability for success in their work. Directors primarily achieve their social skills through communication, hence the importance of their ability to recognize and understand their personal impact on employees, enabling them to identify and encourage the development of their potentials. Ultimately, this enables them to create an inspiring and secure environment for the optimal development of children in the preschool period.
