Summary/Abstract: The text summarizes the creative presence of the scenographer Todor Ignatov on the stage of the St. Bachvarov Drama Theatre – Varna, where he worked until the end of his life. The birth of his scenographic projects should be sought in the creative reading of the dramatic work, which subsequently meets with the vision of the theatre director to reach the final decision about the image of the performance through an uninterrupted and equal dialogue. Todor Ignatov embodied the representative figure and function of the scenographer – a talented artist who is devoted to theatre, working in tandem with the stage director for the birth and realization of the theatre production, bearing responsibility for the entire process of creating the visual and material side of the performance.
