Summary/Abstract: The article offers multiple psycho-philosophical interpretations of corporeity, history, memory, and their role in different discursive forms used in the contemporary writing of French Polynesia. Rewriting and reinterpretation of the heritage and the language as well as psychic influences of thermonuclear experiments take place in texts. Critical readings develop through analysis of subjectivity, self-awareness, individual and collective self-reference, and through study of diversity and plurality manifested in the dynamics of culture and identity.
