Summary/Abstract: One of the significant segments of the festival activity at present is watercolor painting festivals, which are distinguished by genre diversity. The analysis of the International Triennial “Spirit of Watercolor” in Varna showed that the genres in which the participants of the festival work are portrait, landscape, still life, genre scene, etc. Portraits made by watercolorists are characterized by a high degree of detail and realism.
