Summary/Abstract: A methodological development of a laboratory exercise for spectral analysis and measurement of harmonic constituents of non-harmonic standard periodic signals using virtual instruments embedded in the NI ELVIS II workstation is presented. In the process of conducting the laboratory exercise, various didactic methods are applied, such as discussion, demonstration, practical and independent study work, problem solving. Methods of scientific knowledge are used such as: observation, data collection, analysis, summary, results presentation and interpretation.
