Summary/Abstract: The objective of this work is to examine the challenges and approaches to solutions regarding the compatibility of IPv6 (SRv6) with the functionality of existing network devices in the light of emerging applications and network services in various industries. The challenges are in terms of SRv6 protocol technologies, traffic engineering, fast forwarding, etc.The objective of this work is to examine the challenges and approaches to solutions regarding the compatibility of IPv6 (SRv6) with the functionality of existing network devices in the light of emerging applications and network services in various industries. The challenges are in terms of SRv6 protocol technologies, traffic engineering, fast forwarding, etc.As a result, considerations related to network performance are shown and service information redistribution has been analyzed as a contributing point, based on which solutions are outlined.
