Summary/Abstract: The Turkish diaspora in Germany constitutes one of the largest and most influential immigrant communities in the country. Initially driven by economic necessity during the 1960s, Turkish workers migrated to Germany and gradually became an integral component of German society. Presently, this diaspora actively contributes to diverse sectors such as education, business, arts, sports, and politics, while endeavoring to preserve its cultural identity through the establishment of associations, schools, cultural centers, and mosques. Empirical research indicates that the first generation of Turkish workers endured substandard living conditions and faced significant challenges in social integration. Although the second generation has demonstrated greater success in educational attainment and labor market participation, complete integration remains unachieved due to persistent disparities within the German education system. Economically, the diaspora continues to grapple with issues such as unemployment and low income, and their political representation remains disproportionately low. These findings underscore the complexities and multifaceted challenges associated with the social and economic integration processes for the Turkish diaspora in Germany.
