Summary/Abstract: During the middle of the 20th century, phonetic science was undergoing a period of intense development alongside the fields of physics, biology, psychology and informatics. The updated techniques in linguistics and the utilization of diverse apparatus led to the advancement of studies pertaining to conjunctions, as well as the physiology and acoustic of sounds. In the contemporary stage of phonetics, we observe the combination of scientific and theoretical language to reach practicality. Research in these fields is focused on there main areas: - physiology and conjunction; - acoustic and perception; - the synthesis of orations, its transmission and the identification of the speaker. Studies in the phonetics of the Albanian language are relatively new. In addition to the advancement of theoretical studies and phonetic research on dialect and standard versions, there have been efforts to apply experimental methods to investigate the physiological and acoustic characteristics of sounds. The acoustic aspect of sounds is yet to be fully explored. Studies in acoustics of the features of sounds, specifically phonemes, in the standard version of the Albanian language (e.g., length, timbre, intonation etc.), have yet to be conducted. This absence of studies is a consequence of the lack of requisite equipment in our institutions.
