Summary/Abstract: The present article aims to analyse 36 brooches with two knobs and 18 brooches with little wings, approaching the aspects of discovery context, morphology, production, typology, spreading and chronology. The funerary representations determine the link between these brooches and the Norico-Pannonian costume. Their production is mainly based on the use of casting upon archetype technique, which has been documented at Napoca, in the case of Roman Dacia. The first general typology has been realized by Oscar Almgren, imploved by Jochen Garbsch and adapted to Roman Dacia by Sorin Cociș. The majority of them were discovered in rural envirement. Very few were discovered in fortresses or necropoleis. These brooches are dated in the first half of the second century, especially based on the discoveries from the brooch workshop at Napoca. By using our results, we are emphasizing the fact that the Cociș 11c2 type represents 70% of the brooches with two knobs, and in the case of brooches with little wings, the types Cociș 12b and Cociș 12d2 (64%) represent the majority. Ussualy, these artefacts were discovered in a civil envirement, with the exeption of several exemplars.
