Summary/Abstract: The article analysis the phenomenon of popularity of death, heretofore perceived as an existential taboo, in the literature for children published after 2000. The narration addressed to children is examined, including the hidden message related to the desired behavior towards death. The text is an attempt to summarize various approaches to this subject and to outline the typology of the problem in question.
