Summary/Abstract: The archaeological research carried out in the civilian settlement near Tibiscum roman fort has played a very important role in recent years in understanding and identifying on the field what is related to the development and internal organization of the Tibiscum civil settlement, but also of the presence of certain types of public buildings, in our case it is the identification of the sacred area where buildings may have been built with the clear purpose of gathering and worship the protective deities of the Tibiscum community. Thus, at the present time, we consider that we can safely say that to the north of the large stone fort was the sacred area of the civilian settlement, here being identified and investigated even only partially until now, two places of worship, one of larger dimensions of about 14x22 m, and the other of more modest dimensions of 8x8 m. We believe that this delimitation of the sacred area of Tibiscum gives the possibility to rethink the way in which the civil settlement developed, but also the way in which its territory was divided, and its character established, i.e. whether it is an area where we have private properties or we have areas where public buildings were erected, i.e. the space itself becomes a public one.
