Summary/Abstract: The article describes phonetic, morphological and word-formation features of an un-derstudied Rhodopean dialect spoken in the village of Breze in the region of Devin. The study takes a synchronic perspective, drawing comparisons with other Rhodopean dialects. As a result of the examination of the reflexes of the stressed nasal and yer vowels, the currently established classification of the Breze dialect and the dialect spoken in the village of Beden as o-dialects has been reconsidered. The article illustrates typical phonetic and morphological changes, phonetic and word-formation variants and interesting word-formation patterns found in this regional variety of Bulgarian.
