Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine the perspective of academics in the International Trade departments of universities in Turkey on Flipped Classroom Approach (FCA). The population of the research consists of 1153 academicians, whose e-mail addresses can be reached, out of 1155 academicians working in the International Trade departments and Foreign Trade programs at universities in Turkey. Although the sample of the research consisted of 288 people, analyzes were carried out on the answers of 124 people due to non-response to the survey. This research is a descriptive research and a questionnaire was applied as a data collection technique. The survey was conducted between March-July 2023. In the study, 20.2% of the academicians found FCA “interesting”. It was determined that most of the academicians do not use FCA in their classes; however, they wanted to use it. In addition, the biggest advantage of FCA is that “more practices can be made”; Among the barriers to FCA effectiveness, those with the highest average scores were determined as “the trainer does not have technological knowledge” in the context of the trainer; “they do not want to take responsibility for their own learning” in the context of the student; and “necessary arrangements have not been made by the institution” in the context of the institution. It is thought that these results will be useful for academicians in the field of International Trade who want to train with FCA.
