Summary/Abstract: The topic of appropriate and fair remuneration in the organisational environment comprises a key aspect of effective workforce management. Remuneration serves both as a means of motivating individuals and shaping the quantity and quality of the work performed within the organisation. When designing a remuneration system, employers should bear in mind that the system they establish should be appropriate, fair (with respect to the social rights of employees), transparent and exert motivational impacts with respect both to the performance of employees and the retention of high-quality employees within the organisation.
