Summary/Abstract: Being influenced by school education, younger children aim at transforming common words (pseudoterms) into scientific terms, i.e. compliant with the current scientific knowledge. One of the ways of categorizing terminology is formulating original collocations or generating new words. The subject of the present paper are the examples of neologisms (collected from spoken utterances), created by children still being on concrete-operational stage but searching for paths to enter the conceptual thinking stage. The gathered material can fascinate and astound. It is characterized by individuality and uniqueness, shows the beauty of child’s language, reflects child’s sensitivity and ways of linguistic depiction of the world.
