Summary/Abstract: The article presents the issues of Jewish genealogy in the Old Polish period, taking as an example the Lublin municipal account books from the Saxon age. The analysed material includes diverse information concerning family connections among the Judaic population living or working in the areas within the municipal jurisdiction. 480 pieces of genealogical information have been presented altogether. They are Jewish bynames recorded in the sources formed from the name of the father or husband, as well as a number of appellatives (son, daughter, brother, mother-in-law and others) recorded along with the name or only with the ethnonym. Genealogical information registered in the municipal account books does not show all the family relations among the mosaic population. Moreover, the given information is frequently random. However, the material contained in the account books constitutes an excellent starting point for discussion on the municipal demography in the Old Polish era. It can also be a source for the research on the anthroponymy of the Lublin townspeople and Jews.
